Going Deeper into Give: Week 4/Day 5

Give: Grace

Praise Him as Holy. Set apart. Worthy of complete devotion.

Do you see the holiness of His grace?

His grace sets Him apart from every other being. Makes Him worthy of wholehearted devotion.

Praise His holy, holy, holy, name!

Day 5:

Give: Eternal Treasure

Grace, grace, God’s grace,

Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;

Grace, grace, God’s grace,

Grace that is greater than all my sin.

–Julia H. Johnston, Grace Greater Than all Our Sin (Refrain)

God, holy and set apart, knew we would never be made holy through the law. The law alone is not complete, it does not have the power to save.

So, Jesus came. The sacred and holy clothed in flesh. He dwelt among us, endured the cross, and lavishly poured out grace through His body and blood.

Grace fulfilled the law and we were saved, set apart, made holy. Christ’s gift of grace ushers us into the presence of God: our eternal treasure.

Do you find yourself dependent on something other than grace to make you holy? What about others? Do you see them as holy too? Or are you critical? More apt to judge? Hold others accountable to the law? but not yourself?

We are called to give God’s gift of grace to others. As the gift is accepted they too are made holy, set apart for eternity. Our eternal treasure is stored up for the day those who accept His gift stand with us in the presence of the King.

Ask God to keep you focused on the eternal treasure of living in the light of His glory as He calls you to give precious grace to others.
