God Our Encourager
Reflection Scripture:
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
Romans 8:31-32 ESV
Reflect on the Scripture in a way most meaningful to you. Memorize it. Read it out loud. Write it over and over. Draw what comes to mind. Look up the definitions of words which catch your attention.
How is He revealing Himself as your Encourager?
Introduction:
God uses 3 Primary Sources to encourage us:
- His Word: both written and the One made flesh, Jesus
- His Spirit
- His people
Each day, consider how the three sources employ the 3 Forms of encouragement we have studied:
- Inspiration
- Coming alongside
- Spurring on
Day 1:
Read 2Corinthians 5:1-10
What truth encourages you most in this passage? How does it encourage you?
Which form of encouragement does the truth you identified as encouraging provide?
What source provides the encouraging truth which speaks to you?
Who is revealed as our ultimate encourager?
God is our ultimate Encourager.
Ask God to open your heart to receive His encouragement from any source and form He chooses to use in your life.
