Praising God as Faithful fills us with hope! Hope in His promises. His Love. His grace. His mercies. Each new day evidence of His faithfulness and a reason to hope even more than the day before.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV
Praise Him for His faithfulness evident in each sunrise and throughout the day until its setting.
Let the coming night remind you He never sleeps. He is always faithfully watching and working for your good and His glory.
Wrestling with Hope
Continue to exercise your faith through prayerful meditation.
Breathe in… breathe out…
Quiet the noise of the world around you.
Whisper, hum, sing, or meditate on the hymn:
His oath, His covenant, His blood
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.
Remember the knot holding fast our anchor of hope from the Reflection Thoughts? the knot symbolizing our confession? a speaking aloud of our One Hope?
What oath ties you to hope?
What covenant has Christ made with you?
Our confession of hope in His Word, His promises, His blood ties us securely to the anchor of hope we have in Him. It is our lifeline and support when the flood waters rise and our soul gives way.
What causes your soul to give way or leaves you feeling tossed about with no anchor? no hope?
Like the exiles of Nehemiah’s day, return to the promises in His Word. Confess them aloud to yourself and to others.
Write the hope He gives in the form of a beatitude.
